Principal Scott Kloesel Named Educator Of The Week

Walking the halls of one Victoria school is a man who is not only helping students learn the basics of reading and arithmetic, but he also teaches his students the fundamentals of being successful in life.
Being Principal of the more than 300 students at Nazareth Academy is no desk job for Scott Kloesel, and 1st grade teacher Kathy Villafranca spoke about his work as Administrator and Educator saying, “He is always visible and that just makes teaching so much easier ad so much more fun…and the kids adore him and they love seeing him and he is part of their family.”
Mister Kloesel started his career at Nazareth Academy 15 years ago as the school’s Counselor, then he became the Assistant Principal, and the past 5 years he has been the Principal. His goal everyday is to make sure each and every student feels welcomed in the halls.
“I think if the kids feel they have another home, so to speak, and then their moral will go up. When the student moral is up, student learning increases, student learning increases, our school thrives,” said Principal of Nazareth Academy and Educator of the Week, Scott Kloesel.
Mister Kloesel is a leader and role model; he says there are four things he wants student to take away from their time with him at Nazareth Academy, “Set goals, work hard and never quit.” He also wants to remind the students of the importance of prayer in everyday life.
“He sets a really good example for all of us because he always goes to church, and is always nice; I’ve never seen him mad…That's something we all need to learn, especially at the age where we are going to school, that you can do something you really love and enjoy when you get older,” commented Jazmyne Alegria, an 8th grade student at Nazareth Academy, “He's kind and compassionate and he's stern and he's strict when he needs to be, but I think Nazareth Academy is such a special place because of Mr. Kloesel.”
Through his actions, Mister Kloesel shows he is truly dedicated to the students at Nazareth Academy.
